The Cookie Monsters

My father Edward Gordon-Cooke (Cookie) and close family friend Warren Lukritz both passed away from motor neurone disease (MND), which is a terminal illness with no known cure that causes nerve cells to die and leads to rapid muscle wasting. MND severely affects a person's ability to walk, speak, breathe and swallow, while still leaving their mind functioning perfectly fine - cruelly "trapping" those that suffer from MND in the most awful way imaginable. Researchers still don't know what causes MND. The average life expectancy for those diagnosed with MND is just 2.5 years. The MND and Me Foundation is a significant financial contributor towards research into finding a cure for MND. In addition to raising funds to ensure a cure for MND is realised, the MND and Me Foundation remains committed to improving the lives of those impacted by MND. Together we can help support those with MND, and their families, when and where they need it most. Please help me create a community where all those living with MND receive equitable access to support services and are afforded the dignity that they deserve.
